Spring 2018 Class Schedule
The spring session, which consists of eight classes, begins the week of April 9th and ends approximately at the beginning of June. Students attend once a week for the day they are registered for-PLEASE, NO MAKE-UP DAYS for missed classes due to limited class size. Please see the registration tab for exact class dates.
Grown-Up and Me Class
Our youngest learners, ages 2 1/2 - 5, share the cooking and crafting experience with an adult caregiver who remains with them during class. Emphasis is on using the five senses, the cooking process rather than final product, and introducing vocabulary and concepts related to cooking and crafting.
Friday 1 - 2 PM
Grades Kindergarten through Four
This after-school class for the elementary age group focuses on introduction to food prep essentials, such as measuring and slicing, increased independence, and safety in the kitchen. Students also learn the various cultural traditions/celebrations, as well as food origins, associated with the recipes and crafts created in class.

Grades Five through Nine
Our ‘tween/young teen class introduces more advanced kitchen essentials and cooking techniques, such as proper tool use, food prep safety, and “light” stove top cooking. Students also explore various world cuisines and cross-cultural connections through ingredients utilized. The craft portion of the class is omitted, but students use their creativity in food presentation and in customizing recipes.
